The Greene County Toys for Tots Fund, established in memory of the late John C. “Buzz” Walters, has been created at the Community Foundation of Greene County. Buzz had been the driving force behind Toys for Tots in Greene County since the late 1970s.
The Greene County Toys for Tots program is dedicated to purchasing and distributing toys during the “Christmas/Holiday Season” for children in need throughout Greene County.
Family, friends, and volunteers all agree that Buzz Walters was the heart and soul of Toys for Tots in Greene County, transforming generosity into joy and ensuring that every child experienced the magic of the season. His unwavering dedication exemplified the power of kindness. His legacy of giving will continue to inspire us all for generations to come.
